The moment you make a decision to involve a very special person in an equally special adventure, you have to know exactly where you are going and with whom. After reading some books by Carla I had no doubt that she was the right person and place, the White Desert, gave me a confidence. I met great travel companions, equally rich in their emotions. The journey within a journey. Martin and I have indelibly marked "our" experience. I see my footsteps, I know they will disappear shortly reminding me of the impermanence of my existence. I was sand, soft and sharp. I have been an oasis for nourishing the soul. I was the fox, the eyes in the night. I was looking at the world of stars. I saw auroras and dragons of sand. I listened to Sherazade in front of the fire telling the story of time. I was the Desert crossed by the wind, and now I move gently listening to your silence.

The desert has always fascinated me, I always had the desire to try to experience it live! Now thanks to Carla, who introduced me to "her" desert, this has become a reality. When I left for this trip I did not imagine what would have happened. The first great impression was the city of Cairo with its chaotic movement that managed to fascinate me. The desert then did the rest. This was a new experience for me, where I had the opportunity to have fun with Max, who introduced me to new things and places I had never seen. I never thought that the desert could give me so much, I met new people, became traveling companions, and I developed an interest and curiosity to learn a few words in Arabic with Hossam our cook and our friend Sola, two people really special. My traveling companions have always made to feel one of them despite my age, and for that I thank them very much.
Now my greatest wish would be to go to other deserts. I am also very proud to have completed this, my first experience with Carla, and I think her for it was the first time she brought in "her desert," a young man like me.
